Fenway Park : From the Grand Stand

Last weekend, we went on a tour of the Boston Red Sox stadium - Fenway Park. It was wonderful. This is the first pic, I took as soon as we followed the tour guide into the stadium into the Grand Stand.

Fenway Park is the oldest Baseball stadium in the US, it is also very small. It was opened for use on 20 April 1912 but did not make the headlines then because of the tragic sinking of The Titanic that took place on 12 April 1912.

I'll post more shots of Fenway Park this week. Enjoy.

For those, who are not aware - Red Sox are the World Series Champions of 2004.

To me empty stadiums always look sad!

My husband is a huge Red Sox fan. We may have to make a pilgrimage sometime!

Thanks everyone.

Kal, yes it was a sunny day but the breeze was very refreshing :)

Rock, usually they dont allow the tourists on the field but we were let on the field because the Red Sox were playing the White Sox. There wasn't a game until a week after..so we got lucky ;)

Jen, did your husband grow up in Boston?
