Exitpoint
This was taken near the summit of Whiteface Mountain, Adirondacks. There is a scenic driveway which goes up this point, which is 200 ft below the summit. There are two ways to reach the summit from here - hike up a rocky steep path or reach the summit by an elevator built inside a column that has been cored vertically through the rocks. I had cramped my leg during the hike we had done the previous day so we thought a rocky climb was not advisable and took the elevator. This is the tunnel that leads us to the elevator. This has been cored too, to lead the tourists to the elevator. And that guy is my husband..

Wow love this picture.
But one thing i would like is to see is the photographer's side little more darker, then would have got a better depth. but still a excellent capture.
aah! this is really awesome!!
Thanks K and S.
Good shot! You have timed the shot at the right moment. But I tend to agree with Kaleidoscope that the picture could have been darker towards your side. Would have increased the focus on the "light at the end of the tunnel". But I am sure this was an instinctive shot and you really do not have too much time to think so much.
i like the 'light at the end of the tunnel' idea as also suggested by suyog.
Thanks S, T and K. Yup, it was an instinctive one..I was limping behind him and saw what a good shot it would make.. He turned back for a moment to wait for me, I just asked him to go on,grabbed my camera and shot this. :)
I really love the way the light blends towards me..If I were few steps behind I could've achieved what you guys are saying.
I guess the darker it would get the better it would be. But this is still a lovely photo!
It reminded me as well of "the light at the end of the tunnel" and something a friend said about that "be careful cause the light at the end of the tunnel might me a train!" LOL! :)
Thanks :D Metallyptica and Rock.
Fantastic photo.
you got a good model to pose :) this is a nice image. what was that yellow thing hanging at the bottom, just above your copyright message? if it is in the photograph, can you try desaturate the pic?
Odd: Thanks for visiting my blog and taking time to comment, visit often.
Thanks Srikanth, yes he hates me posting pics of him here..but i've done it a couple of times nevertheless..
I thought the yellow (they were hanging on to the railing, maybe extra bulbs?!) would be a nice contrasting element in the picture, which is why I chose against desaturation :)
you are a very versatile photographer i must say....i am fallin in love with blogs like yours ...i wish i can also try my hands at photography some day....life doesnt give me time ...anyways keep it up
